Calculus Capital has a strong reputation for originating successful EIS funds. We created and established the UK’s first approved EIS Fund in 1999/2000. We have now launched and closed nine EIS Funds; one in every year except last year. In 2008, we believed that the market was overvalued, and in hindsight, we were correct.

The market has changed dramatically since then. We now believe there has never been a better time to invest in an EIS fund. Our reasons for this are two-fold. First of all, in the current economic environment, taxes must rise, and it makes sense to invest in government blessed tax-sheltered products. Secondly, company valuations have fallen over the last 18 months and even excellent well-managed companies are still finding it difficult to raise finance for expansion. We see significant long term benefits in investing now.

From the start of next year, tax relief on pension contributions will be curtailed and then reduced for some individuals. Investment in our EIS Fund 10, with the focus on wealth preservation, tax mitigation and capital growth, might be a valuable addition, or even alternative, to further pension contributions.

With this positive environment we are pleased to introduce the Calculus Capital EIS Fund 10, launching on 1st October 2009.

The Calculus Capital EIS Fund 10 is now open for investment.
