ActiveOps (previously known as AOMi), founded in 2005, is a cloud-based workforce optimisation software company whose Workware™ platform is used to manage more than 40,000 employees globally.

Workware™ is designed for labour-intensive clerical back offices and allows large organisations to reduce costs and improve quality of service through workforce capacity management.

Since Calculus invested in 2014, the company has grown significantly, with revenues increasing at an annualised rate of over 20% to more than £18m in the year to March 2019. Recurring Software-as-a-Service (“SaaS”) revenues have grown faster, at over 25% annually to more than £13m.

INVESTMENT RATIONALE

ActiveOps has been successful in winning major enterprise customers in more than 35 different countries, including Capita, Barclays and Hewlett Packard. In 2011 the company won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in recognition of its global success.

The investment will enable ActiveOps to further grow its international footprint.
